Dr. Ericka Craft Mizuta, DPT

Owner/Physical Therapist

Dr. Ericka Craft Mizuta, DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy) earned her Doctorate Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia after studying Biology and Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Dr. Mizuta is originally from Wise, Virginia. She moved to California in 2003 to complete her residency training at Stanford University before graduating in December of 2003. Since then, she has practiced in outpatient orthopedics and established her practice in San Diego in 2009 to focus on one-on-one personalized treatment. Dr. Mizuta practices evidence based physical therapy with specialized programs tailored to patient needs to rehabilitate clients faster than traditional PT. Her skill base is in functional rehabilitation with strength training at any age. Dr. Mizuta has experience with clients from birth to 100 and takes a special interest athletes as well as the aging population. Her personal understanding of the importance of an active lifestyle is reflected in Dr. Mizuta’s leisure pursuits. She is an avid hiker, advanced scuba diver, weightlifter, beginning golfer, tennis, and pickleball player. On any afternoon you will most likely find her at either the baseball field watching her son play or at the football field watching her daughter cheerleading.

Dr. Mizuta has a studio in Serra Mesa where she treats patients who do not prefer in-home sessions.
